Vivanta Dal View Hotel held business and tourism promotion awards and felicitation ceremony for J&K here at the Banquet Hall of the hotel.
According to a statement, the award ceremony was held inpresence of the owners of the hotel Saifco Group, where Manzoor Ahmad, AltafAhmad and Amir Manzoor presented the awards along with Vishal Sharma, GeneralManager of Vivanta Dal view hotel operated by Indian Hotels Company Ltd(IHCL)which owns the brands Taj, Vivanta, Seleqtions, Ginger and Taj Sats.
The Director Tourism Kashmir, Nissar Ahmed Wani, Managing Director JKCCC Shamim Wani, Javed Bakshi Director SKICC, Manzoor Ahmed Dy Director Hospitality andProtocol, Shabir Ahmed Principal IHMwere present at the ceremony who were also awarded by the hotel in OutstandingCapabilities category.
The awards were given to the top performers of last threeconsecutive financial years April 2016 to March 2019. Categories of localtravel agents and tour operators started from the bottom to Top which werecalled Enthusiastic 10, then Potential 20 and the Top 20.
Among the Top 20 the first position FIT went to MazdaTravels, also at first position GIT went to Elizabeth Travels, second Position FIT/GIT was given to ShanglooTravels Pvt Ltd, and third positionFIT/GIT went to Dastan Tours & Travels. A special award was given toGreengold Holidays for the top performance FIT for the last financial year.
The master of ceremony was the Director of Sales BasharatRashid, who gave a detailed presentation about the Performances, Awards andincentives offered to the travel agents of the state mainly Kashmir valley. Hehighlighted that such events are very important for encouraging youth andpotential entrepreneurs of the tourism industry and said that Tata Group iscommitted to promote the tourism and hospitality sector in the state.
