10+2 contractual lecturers today sought regularization of their services under 2010 Act.
Seeking relief on humanitarian consideration, scores of 10+2 contractual lectures from different districts of J&K accentuated their long pending demands and said that they are serving in Government Higher Secondary schools since last several years on contractual basis.
Rajesh Kumar, contractual lecturer of Hindi in Kishtwar said that he has been serving in the education department for last 17 years, but till date he has not been regularized.
He said that the successive governments had promised resolution to their demands, but till date no government delivered its promises of regularizing contractual 10+2 lecturers.
Talking to Greater Kashmir 10+2 lecturers lamented that the last coalition government regularized thousands of adhoc and contractual employees under JK Civil Services (special provision) 2010 Act, but they have been ignored.
They further appealed to the Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to bring them in the ambit of the said Act, keeping in view their ages and vast experiences.
