2 dead, 5 critically injured in 2 road accidents across J&K

Two persons died while five others were injured in two separate road accidents across J&K on Sunday.

One person died while three others were seriously injured ina head-on collision between two vehicles here on Sunday.  

   

A police official said tata mobile vehicle (Registration NoJK06A-1278) which was on way to Jammu from Batote collided head-on with a Bolerojeep (Registration No JK02CE-1186), which was coming from opposite direction,near Champa.

The official said one person died on-the-spot while threeothers sustained grievous injuries in the accident.

The deceased has beenidentified as Des Raj (75), son Sudhana Bhagat of Kishtwar. The injured wereidentified as Sunil Kotwal (15), son of Bihari Lal of Paddar, Kishtwar;Inspector Vijay Bahgat (55), son of Des Raj Bhagat and Santosha Kumari, wife ofDes Raj – both residents of Kishtwar.

The injured were referred to Government Medical Collage andHospital Jammu for advanced treatment, said the official.

He said a case has been registered at police station,Batote.

In a separate road accident one person was killed and twoothers injured in Mangloora area of Kunzer in north Kashmir’s Baramulladistrict.

A speedy tipper crushed a youth to death and injured twoothers severely. The deceased has been identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Shah, son ofGhulam Muhammad Shah.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital, wherefromthey were referred to SKIMS here for advance treatment. 

Block Medical Officer (BMO) Kunzar, Dr Rukiya confirmeddeath of a person and injuries to two others.

Police have registered a case and started investigation.
