2 govt officials suspended

DDC Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana has suspended two government officials for allegedly taking part in vandalising the DC Office Complex Kishtwar here on Saturday.

The suspended officials were identified as Satya BushanSharma, Teacher, HS Nagbhatna presently attached in Government Girls HigherSecondary School Kishtwar and  Tilak Raj,Forester, Nagseni, Range C/O DFO Kishtwar.

   

An order issued by the DDC in this regard reads: “Astrong protest was held on 27-04-2019 inside DC Office Complex, Kishtwar led bymembers of Sanathan Dharam Sabha Kishtwar in which a large number of men andwomen participated.”

The protestors raised slogans against the stateadministration for its failure to arrest the culprits responsible for themurder of RSS leader Chander Kant Sharma and his PSO who were murdered on09-04-2019 at district hospital Kishtwar by some unidentified gunmen.

“During the procession some miscreants broke down the windowpanes and door glasses, etc and also damaged record files besides window panes of two vehicles of government officersin which two aforesaid govt officials were found involved in vandalising thegovt property, which amounts to grave misconduct on the part of the erringofficials and warrants the invocation of action in accordance with theprovision of J&K (Classification, Control and Appeal Rules) of 1956 read withthe J&K Govt Employees (Conduct) Rules 1971.”

Acting tough against the erring officials, the DDC Kishtwarsuspended the two officials with immediate effect. “The erring officials shallremain attached in the offices of CEO, Kishtwar and DFO, Kishtwar respectivelyduring the suspension period.”

Meanwhile, Pawan Kumar Parihar, Additional DeputyCommissioner Kishtwar has been appointed as an enquiry officer to conduct  enquiry into the matter and furnish thereport  within fifteen days positively.
