Two persons including a girl sustained injuries after the truck in which they were travelling plunged into a gorge near Captain Morh in Champa Batote on Jammu-Srinagar national highway on Monday.
A police official said the driver lost control on the truckbearing registration number (JK18A-2099), carrying LPG cylinders consignmentfor Kashmir valley and plunged into 50 feet deep gorge.
The police official said while truck conductor and the girlsustained injuries in the accident, the driver fled away from the spot afterthe accident.
Police identified the injured as Khalil Ahmed Dar, son ofAbdul Ahad Dar, and Sonia Jan, daughter of Rias Ahmed of Devsar Kulgam.
The injured were shifted to Sher-e-Kashmir Memorial HospitalBatote for treatment.
