4 of family injured in Ramban road accident

Four members of a family were injured when the car they were travelling in rolled down into a gorge near Banihal on Srinagar-Jammu highway on Monday.

A police official said the driver of an Alto car,(Registration No JK22B-2499), which was on way to Srinagar from Jammu, lostcontrol of the vehicle near Shabanbass and the car roll downed into the gorge,resulting in injuring to the family members.

   

The injured were shifted to sub district hospital Banihalwhere doctors referred them to Bone and Joints Hospital Barzullah Srinagar foradvanced treatment.

Police identified the injured as Ali Mohammad (67), his wifeZubada Begum (40), their daughter Nargis Jan (22) and son Sohil Ahmed (22) –all residents of Shopian district.

In a separate accident, which took place on RajgarhChanderkote link road, an Alto K10 (Registration No JK19/6463), which was onway from Natna to Ramban, rolled down into a ravine.

The car suffered extensive damage however driver of the carmiraculously escaped unhurt, another police official said.
