53 laborers discharged after completing quarantine period at Bhadarwah

Authorities on Saturday discharged 53 laborers after successfully completing quarantine period at sub-district Hospital here.

The officials said thelaborers were put into administrative quarantine after they tried to sneak intoBhadarwah from Pathankot and Chamba two weeks ago, to reach to their homes inthe district. The district administration had arranged the busses for thedetainees to ferry them to respective destinations.

The laborers said that theyunderstand the significance of quarantine. “Earlier we were scared ofquarantine. But now, after staying here, for 14 days, we understood it’simportant, not only for our safety, but for the safety of our families also,”the laborers said.

On this occasion, BMOBhadarwah also distributed packed lunch among all the laborers.
