Authorities on Saturday discharged 53 laborers after successfully completing quarantine period at sub-district Hospital here.
The officials said the laborers were put into administrative quarantine after they tried to sneak into Bhadarwah from Pathankot and Chamba two weeks ago, to reach to their homes in the district. The district administration had arranged the busses for the detainees to ferry them to respective destinations.

The laborers said that they understand the significance of quarantine. “Earlier we were scared of quarantine. But now, after staying here, for 14 days, we understood it’s important, not only for our safety, but for the safety of our families also,” the laborers said.
On this occasion, BMO Bhadarwah also distributed packed lunch among all the laborers.
