Senior superintendent of police (SSP), Kishtwar, ShaktiKumar Pathak, said, “Seven militant are still active in Kishtwar. They arepromoting militancy and trying to encourage youth towards picking up arms.”
He added, “The police seek help from the public in makingKishtwar district militancy free. We have put up the names and pictures of thealleged militants on a banner, which has been hung on several walls across thedistrict. Any person who provides the police with information will be suitablerewarded with a cash reward, worth lakhs, as well as a job. Besides, theinformer’s identity will be kept a secret.”
As per the banner put up by the police outside Kishtwarpolice station, “seven militants, including
Mohammad Amin alias Jahingir Saroori, Raiz Ahmed aliasHazari, Osama Bin Javed alias Osama, Mudassir Hussain, Talib Hussain, Jamal Dinand Junaid Akram Malik, are operating from Kishtwar district at present”.
