A ninety-year-old woman casted her vote at a polling station in Kahara village of district Doda during the 2nd phase of parliamentary polls on Thursday.
Mata Begum was lent a helping hand by her son to reach thepolling booth set up near her house as she is bedridden due to her ailinghealth. “I came out to cast my vote in a bid to end poverty. I wanted to electmy representative, who I believe will do something on the ground to help thepoor,” she said.
