Chenab Valley celebrates 69th Republic Day with enthusiasm

People of Chenab Valley celebrated 69th Republic Day with enthusiasm and patriotism on Friday. 

According to reports, hundreds of students, locals, Officers of civil and police administration besides Jawans of Police, Paramilitary forces and NCC Cadets gathered at different District, Sub-Division and Tehsil headquarters to celebrate the 69th Republic Day.

   

At Bhadarwah, the 69th Republic Day function was held in the premises of Government Higher Secondary School Boys Bhadarwah, where Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhadarwah Imam Din was the chief guest, who after hoisting the tricolor, inspected parade and took salute at an impressive march past presented by contingents of JKAP, NCC, Civil Squad, students of government and private educational institutions of the area.

On the occasion ASP Bhadarwah Rajinder Singh, Tehsildar Bhadarwah Masood Ahmed, SDPO Brijesh Sharma, CEO BDA R.P. Khajuria and DFO Vivek Verma were the guests of honour.

While congratulating the gathering, ADC Bhadarwah Imam Din said that the Constitution of independent India came into existence on this day in the year 1950 which provides equal fundamental rights to every citizen of the country irrespective of any caste, creed, colour or religion.

He said as a responsible citizen every stakeholder should contribute in the developmental drive. “Menace like poverty, violence, crime, terrorism, corruption etc shall be dealt with iron hand to make the society worth living,” he added.

ADC urged upon the employees to work with full commitment to serve the common masses. “To provide corruption-free administration, we have to ensure smooth and hassle-free delivery of public services and who are involved in corrupt activities must be dealt with iron hands.”  

A colourful cultural programme depicting rich culture and heritage of the state was also presented by various educational institutions on the occasion.

Later, ADC Bhadarwah along with other dignitaries felicitated meritorious students of 8th, 10th and 12th, who excelled in the recent results.

On the occasion Tehsildar Masood Ahmed, SHO Muneer Khan, Publicity Officer BDA Sajid Khan, BDO Muhammad Ashraf, NCC officer Arif Rana, PET Abdul Haq, Sajad Sarmadi and others also participated.

Republic Day function was also organised at All India Radio (AIR) Station Bhadarwah, where Director AIR Bhadarwah Inayat ullah Gowhar unfurled the tricolour and took salute from CRPF Jawans. 

On the occasion, Programme Officer Sanjeev Sharma, staff of Radio Station, officers and officials of CRPF unit Bhadarwah were also present.

At Bhalla, the Republic Day was celebrated at Tehsil Headquarter Bhalla with great enthusiasm and fervour.

On the occasion, Tehsildar Bhalla Dr Amir Zargar was the chief guest, who unfurled the tricolour and took salute of the March past contingents of JKPCC and school childrens.

Later on, different colourful cultural programmes were presented by various school children which exhibited the rich cultural and traditional heritage of the region. Tehsildar Bhalla also distributed prizes among the participants on the  occasion. 

At Thathri, the 69th Republic Day function was held in the premises of  High School Thathri, where SDM Thathri Mohd Anwar Banday  was the chief guest, who after hoisting the National Flag, inspected parade and took salute from an impressive march past presented by contingents of JKPCC, Civil squad and School childrens of the area.

While addressing the huge gathering on the occasion, SDM Thathri Muhammad Anwar Banday congratulated the people and underscored the importance of this historical day on which our country became a Sovereign Democratic Republic, one of the best systems of governance prevailing in the world, adding that it was on this day in 1950 that the constitution of India came into existence.

Tehsildar Thathri, SHO, CO 26 RR, CDPO, Xen, EO Municipality and other officers of all departments were also present on the occasion. 

At Kishtwar the 69th Republic day was celebrated with great patriotic fervor.|

The main function was organised at famous Chougan Ground Kishtwar.   On the occasion Health and Medical Minister Bali Bhagat was the Chief Guest  , who took the salute from the contingents of JKP, IRP, CISF, FPF, Home Guard, NCC Cadets of Degree college and Boys HSS after unfurling the tricolour.

 The District Development Commissionter Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana, SSP Kishtwar Abrar Choudary, Army officials , various other district and Sectoral officers, government employees, school children and prominent citizens participated in the function.

While addressing the gathering, Health Minister paid glowing tributes to the freedom fighters of the country who sacrificed their lives for the cause of nation and free it from the slavery of foreign rulers.

He called upon the people to maintain peace, communal harmony and brotherhood, adding that need of the hour is to thwart nefarious design of the elements trying to disintegrate the country and the State of Jammu and Kashmir. 

At Doda, the 69th Republic Day was celebrated in the sports stadium Doda where chief guest MoS Forests, Environment and Ecology Zahoor Ahmed Mir hoisted the Tricolor and after inspection of parade took salute of contingents drawn from  the JKP, JKAP, CRPF ,NCC, FPF, Home Guard, school children and Band Troops of Doda area.

While Greeting the people on the occasion, Mir said  that on this joyous occasion we must pay homage to the great leaders who carried out a prolonged struggle and sacrificed their lives to liberate India from the colonial rule.

Later a colourful cultural programme was presented by the School Children exibiting rich cultural traditions and heritage of region. Chief Guest Zahoor Ahmed Mir with other dignitaries also distributed  prizes,  momentos and cerificates among the participants on the occasion. 

MLA Doda Shakti Raj Parihar,  Distrct Development  Commissioner Doda Bhawani Rakwal, SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir, ADC Pawan Kumar, ARTO Doda Zubair Ahmed, ACR Tariq Naik,  SP Ops Ravinder pal Singh, ASP Hqrs Vinay Kumar,  DySP Hqrs Doda Iftkhar Ahmed, DySP DAR Nazir Ahmed among other Police Officers , besides 2 IC CRPF,  SSB and other District Officers, media persons and huge gathering of People attended the function.

Similar programmes regarding 69th Republic Day celebrations  were also reported from Ramban, Marwah,Padder, Drabshalla,Gandoh, Bhalessa, Batote, Banihal, Gool and other areas of Chenab Valley with huge participation of officers and officials beside Students of respective educational institutions.
