Jammu and Kashmir police Wednesday claimed to have arrested a man accused of being involved in a bovine smuggling case and who had been evading arrest since 2 years.
A police officer said, “As part of a special drive againstpersons absconding after committing crime, a team led by station house officer,Chanderkote, arrested one Mohammad Rafiq. He is an accused in a case of bovinesmuggling registered at Chanderkote police station in 2016.”
The accused, the officer said, was later produced before thecourt of mobile magistrate Batote.
