Advisor Kumar reviews development, security scenario in Doda

In his maiden visit to the hilly district, Advisor toGovernor, K Vijay Kumar on Saturday took a detailed review of the securitysituation and ongoing developmental works in district Doda, an officialspokesperson said.

Kumar, who was accompanied by Director General of PoliceDilbag Singh and ADG Munir Khan, held a series of meetings with securityagencies and officers of civil administration at Bhaderwah and Dodasimultaneously.

   

In a meeting held at Dak Banglow Bhaderwah involving seniorcivil, Police, Central Armed Police, Army, and State and Central IntelligenceAgencies, Kumar undertook a detailed review of security management relatedissues in the district, which has been declared militancy free a decade ago, hesaid.

The spokesperson said the meeting was attended by DIGDoda-Kishtwar-Ramban range, Bhim Sen Tuti, Commanding Officer 4RR, Col D DPandey, SSP Shabir Ahmed Malik and top officials from police, Central ReservePolice Force and civil administration.

He further said that after obtaining sector-wise assessmentof the prevailing security situation and arising challenges, the Advisoremphasised the crucial importance of maintaining a sustained close watch on theground situation and appreciated the sustained real time coordination andsynergy between the security forces and the civil administration.

Considering the pattern of attempts to disturb law and orderin the past couple of months, Kumar stressed the need for a heightened vigiland ensuring the safety and the security of all important establishments andinstallations, the spokesperson said.

Later, the Advisor also held a series of meetings with theheads of different departments and asked them to complete all the developmentalworks well in time.
