Bhaderwah killing: Imam Jamia Kishtwar announces shutdown today

To denounce the killing of a 50-year-old man by someunidentified persons in Bhaderwah town of Doda district, chairman of KishtwarMajlis-e-Shora Committee and Imam Jamia Kishtwar, Farooq Ahmed Kitchloo onFriday announced a shutdown in the town on Saturday.

Giving the call for shutdown during Friday prayers, Kitchlooappealed all business associations, schools, transport bodies and others toobserve complete shutdown in the town.

   

“The killing of innocent person in Bhaderwah is highlycondemnable. This (murder) was an act against humanity, peace, unity andbrotherhood in the region.  I appeal allto unite against such incidents by observing the peaceful shutdown in the towntomorrow,” the Imam Jamia Kishtwar, Farooq Ahmed Kitchloo said on Friday.  

He observed that there was a need to remain united when”cowards” are trying to create wedge between the people on communal basis.

Pertinently, a 50-year-old man, Nayeem Shah, a resident ofMohalla Qilla, Bhaderwah was murdered by some unidentified persons on Thursdaymorning resulting his death on the spot.

Police have registered a case under relevant sections of thelaw and detained some suspects to investigate the killing of the middle-agedman.
