BJP holds sit-ins against govt’s ‘failure’ to identify killers of Parihar brothers, RSS leader

Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) workers on Tuesday held sit-indemonstrations against the alleged failure of administration and police to gethold of the culprits involved in the murder of Parihar brothers, RSS leaderChander Kant Sharma and his personal security guard, Rajinder.

Former minister and BJP leader, Sunil Kumar Sharma, who wasleading the protesters here outside Dak Bunglow Kishtwar, stated that theadministration and police have failed to save the lives of minority communityin Kishtwar district.

   

He also lashed out at opposition for terming the BJP sit-insin the districts “politically motivated”.

“Our fight is against the idea of zealotry which originatedin the 90s to terrorize the minority community across the State. And this idea,backed by a strong nexus, has snatched our beloved leaders, including SatishBhandari in 1993, Parihar brothers in November 2018, Chander Kant Sharma andhis PSO in 2019 and Gul Mohammad Mir in May this year,” he said.

He added, “I don’t even hesitate to say that some of thepeople in administration are trying to shield militants, because till date, noteven a single culprit has been arrested either in Parihar brothers’ murder caseor in RSS leader’s murder case. Even police have failed to identify even asingle assailant till date.”

“But, we will not sit idle. Our fight will continue to getthe killers of Parihar brothers, RSS leader and Gul Mohammad Mir identified andpunished under law,” he said.

Pertinently, National Investigating Agency (NIA) has takenup the investigation of Parihar brothers’ murder case since November 28, 2018but no arrest has been made as on date.

Similarly, J&K police investigating the murder case ofRSS leader Chander Kant Sharma and his PSO has not made any arrest yet.

As per the police report, four unknown gunmen killed RSSleader and his PSO after snatching his (PSO’s) service weapon. A white colouredAlto car allegedly used by the gunmen to flee has been seized by the police.Similar sit-ins were held at Drabshala, Padder,Galigarh, Padyarna, Palmar, Mughalmaidan, and other areas of the district,including Bhaderwah town of district Doda.
