‘Delay in appointing academic arrangements makes students suffer’

Educational, Environmental, Social, Sports and Cultural Society (EESS&CS) Wednesday expressed concern over delay in providing teaching staff on academic arrangement in thousands of higher secondary schools falling under the winter zone of Jammu province.

In a statement, chairman of the society, Mohammad AyoubZarger, said, “One month of the current academic session has already passed,but still no academic arrangement has been made. This is grave injustice withthe student community, especially of class 11th and 12th, who needsubject-specialist teachers.”

   

He said that the concerned authorities have put the futureof thousands of students at stake. “The kids enrolled in class 11th of thenewly-upgraded higher secondary schools are the worst sufferers, on the pretextof model code of conduct (MCC),” he alleged.

He appealed to the governor’s administration to personallylook into the matter and issue directions to the director school education,Jammu, to issue orders in favour of subject-specialist teachers.
