DEO suspends teacher, disengages DRW for ‘MCC violation’

District election officer (DEO) Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana on Monday suspended a teacher and disengaged a daily rated worker (DRW) for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

The teacher, Rakesh Singh Parihar, posted at Middle SchoolKandni has been suspended and DRW of Naigadh Supply Lines, Mohammad Bakshi hasbeen disengaged for “gross violation” of MCC, reads an order issued by DEOKishtwar.

   

The order said that the government teacher shared hisphotograph with comment-“Abki Baar Modi Sarkar” (Modi government this time)-onsocial networking site, Facebook wearing the stole/symbol/poster of BJP.

After the picture went viral, the order said that it(picture of teacher) was forwarded to nodal officer for Model Code of Conductfor enquiry and report. 

“After ascertaining the facts and going through the reportsubmitted by the concerned officer, the teacher, Rakesh Singh Parihar was foundviolating MCC,” the order said further, adding that, “Followed by this, the DEOKishtwar suspended him with immediate effect.”

In another incident, the DRW, Mohammad Bakshi, was foundinvolved in the election campaign of Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, the NC MLC, said theorder.

It further said that the complaint about his (DRW’s)involvement in the campaign was forwarded to nodal officer MCC for enquiry andreport.  

“After ascertaining the facts, the DRW was found guilty ofviolating the MCC,” it said.

“Acting tough against the gross violation of MCC, the DEOKishtwar disengaged Mohammad Bakshi as daily rated worker with immediateeffect,” the order issued by DEO Kishtwar reads. 

Meanwhile, the DEO Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana has warnedall government officers/ officials against indulging in any kind of politicalactivity when MCC is in force.
