DFO Bhadarwah, 6 forest officials placed under suspension

Government placed under suspension DFO Bhadarwah along with six other forest officers for their alleged failure to protect forest wealth and initiate action against encroachers.

Governor’s Advisor directed Principal Chief Conservator ofForest (PCCF) under order number OSD(A)/Adv(K) 2019//326, to place DivisionalForest Officer (DFO) Bhadarwah, Range Officer (RO) Chiralla, Forester of JaieBlock and all the forest guards posted in compartments 1 to 12 of Chirallarange under suspension and attach them with the office of PCCF till furtherorder.

   

The PCCF has been asked to hold an enquiry and submit thereport to administrative department in a maximum of 10 days time.

It is pertinent to mention here that Greater Kashmir andKashmir Uzma in their May 12 issue published a report on unabated green fellingin Tanta area of Chiralla range and encroachment of forest land especiallygrazing meadows.

PCCF Suresh Chug could not be contacted for comment for hiscell phone was switched off.
