Dozens of vehicles were stranded after landslides triggered by torrential rains closed Doda-Bhadarwah road on Friday evening.
The 30 km Doda-Bhadarwah road was closed for traffic afterheavy landslides occurred at Drudu area, leaving dozens of vehicles stranded. Ahuge tree also got uprooted and fell on the road.
Trafficofficials led by SO Traffic Bhadarwah Nisar Ahmed rushed to the spot.Passengers stranded at both sides of the landslide area, alleged that noclearance operation was started by the authorities forcing people to cross theroad by foot.
A stranded passenger, Nasir Shah said that “I am waitinghere since last two hours but except traffic officials, no one visited here toclear the road. Where are the concerned authorities, who are responsible forrepair and maintenance of this road.”
