Driver arrested, 3 trucks, 1 JCB seized in Rajouri

Police on Friday seized four vehicles here and registered a case for violation of lockdown orders.

An official said a police team headed by SHO Manjakote, Manzoor Kohli was on patrolling when three trucks labeled as FCI duty were on way to Jammu from Poonch.

During checking, the trucks were found loaded with stones. They were seized immediately and a case under relevant sections was registered at Manjakote police station.” In a similar incident, the police official said a JCB machine was seized in Nagrota village near Rajouri, and its driver was arrested after a team headed by SHO Rajouri Sameer Jillani found the vehicle engaged in a construction work in violation of the restriction order. An FIR in this regard has been registered.

Meanwhile, the restrictions due to COVID19 continued in the district with only essential services remaining available for masses.  Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajouri Chandan Kohli appreciated people for their cooperation.
