Driver arrested, 3 trucks, 1 JCB seized in Rajouri

Police on Friday seized four vehicles here and registered a case for violation of lockdown orders.

An official said a police team headed by SHO Manjakote,Manzoor Kohli was on patrolling when three trucks labeled as FCI duty were onway to Jammu from Poonch.

During checking, the trucks were found loaded with stones. Theywere seized immediately and a case under relevant sections was registered atManjakote police station." In a similar incident, the police official said aJCB machine was seized in Nagrota village near Rajouri, and its driver wasarrested after a team headed by SHO Rajouri Sameer Jillani found the vehicleengaged in a construction work in violation of the restriction order. An FIR inthis regard has been registered.

Meanwhile, the restrictions due to COVID19 continued in thedistrict with only essential services remaining available for masses.  Senior Superintendent of Police, RajouriChandan Kohli appreciated people for their cooperation.
