The driver of a private car was seriously injured on Thursday when the vehicle he was driving skidded off the road and fell into Neeru river in Doda.
The accident occurred at Galgandhar area, 5 KM ahead of Pul Doda on Doda-Bhadarwah Highway.
According to police, an Eon car bearing registration number JK06-6825 was on its way from Bhalla to Doda. “When it reached at Galgandhar area, the driver reportedly lost control over the vehicle on a sloppy curve near Hundai showroom. The vehicle skidded off the road and rolled into Neeru river,” police said.
Soon after the incident, the passers-by and the passengers travelling in other vehicles on the road informed the police and shifted the injured driver to district hospital Doda.
The injured has been identified as Javid Iqbal son of Abdul Aziz of Dugga Bhalla.
Police has registered a case in this regard.
