District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode, today reviewed the status of Education sector projects being executed in the district under RAMSA, SMAGRA, State, district and languishing project schemes.
The meeting was attended by CPO Parshotam Kumar, ACD Davender Singh Bhau, AD Planning Waseem Raja, Executive Engineers PWD Doda/Bhaderwah/Gandoh, CEO Doda besides other concerned officers.
Threadbare discussions were held on physical status of projects, verification, scheme wise status, financial implications, bottlenecks, if any, etc. It was apprised in the meeting that several upcoming school buildings are held up due to non-availability of land, slow work progress and court stays.
In this regard, the DDC directed the concerned authorities to get the matter resolved on top priority and activate their men and machinery to complete these projects within the fixed timeline.
The DDC directed the executing agencies and education department to prepare a list of projects which are pending due to non availability of land and where progress is slow. He also asked for the action taken report to be submitted within 07 days.
Moreover, the DDC directed the concerned authorities to conduct monthly reviews of all developmental projects going on or pending with the executing agencies for their timely completion. Besides, he directed the education department and executing agencies to conduct joint inspections to resolve the land issues and try to convince the people with the help of local PRIs that these schools buildings will not only secure their present but future of their generation also. Further DDC directed the concerned authorities to start using those buildings which are at finishing level which needs bare minimum of work to be done.
