District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode, today reviewed the status of Education sector projects being executed in the district under RAMSA, SMAGRA, State, district and languishing project schemes.
The meeting was attended by CPO Parshotam Kumar, ACDDavender Singh Bhau, AD Planning Waseem Raja, Executive Engineers PWDDoda/Bhaderwah/Gandoh, CEO Doda besides other concerned officers.
Threadbare discussions were held on physical status ofprojects, verification, scheme wise status, financial implications,bottlenecks, if any, etc. It was apprised in the meeting that several upcomingschool buildings are held up due to non-availability of land, slow workprogress and court stays.
In this regard, the DDC directed the concerned authoritiesto get the matter resolved on top priority and activate their men and machineryto complete these projects within the fixed timeline.
The DDC directed the executing agencies and educationdepartment to prepare a list of projects which are pending due to nonavailability of land and where progress is slow. He also asked for the actiontaken report to be submitted within 07 days.
Moreover, the DDC directed the concerned authorities toconduct monthly reviews of all developmental projects going on or pending withthe executing agencies for their timely completion.Besides, he directed the education departmentand executing agencies to conduct joint inspections to resolve the land issuesand try to convince the people with the help of local PRIs that these schoolsbuildings will not only secure their present but future of their generationalso. Further DDC directed the concerned authorities to start using thosebuildings which are at finishing level which needs bare minimum of work to bedone.
