Taking strong note of absenteeism, the zonal education officer (ZEO), Drabshala, Mohammad Iqbal Qazi, Wednesday ordered that the salaries of the entire staff of Government Girls Middle School, Binoon, should be withheld after the school was found to be locked.
While talking to Greater Kashmir, the ZEO said, “A residentof Binoon telephonically informed me that the Government Girls Middle Schoolwas lying locked.”
He added, “Taking note of absenteeism, the salaries ofteachers Bhupinder Singh and Akhter Hussain Mali, ReTs Shazia Shameem Malik andMussarat Naz, have been withheld.”
The ZEO also served the headmaster of the school an explanation,asking him to submit the reason behind the school remaining closed on Wednesdaywithin two days.
