Govt revokes transfer order issued by DC Kishtwar

Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday revoked a transfer order issued by deputy commissioner Kishtwar earlier this month. 

A government order read that district development commissioner Kishtwar vide order no. DDCK/Edu-47/FY19/17350-55 dated 6/02/2019 had constituted a committee to make proposal for transfer of teachers for his approval before affecting such transfers.

   

The director school education, Jammu had also called for a similar proposal for transfer of teachers from chief education officers of Jammu division including district Kishtwar.

“Transfer of teachers is the subject matter of school education department and these are strictly carried out as per transfer policy issued by GAD vide order No: 861-GAD of 2010 dated: 28.07.2010 and transfer policy of school education department issued vide order No: 622-Edu of 2015 dated 22.12.2015. As such the order issued by the DC Kishtwar is violative of GAD’s transfer policy and school education department. In the above background, order issued by DC, Kishtwar under endorsement No. DDCK/Edu-47/FY19/17350-55 Dated 06.02.2019 is hereby rescinded abinitio,” the order stated. GKNN
