Govt teacher suspended for ‘misleading’ statements

Director school education, Jammu, Anuradha Gupta suspended a teacher posted in Upper Primary School Daingpora, hill education zone Ukhral, for allegedly issuing “misleading statements” to the media.

An order issued from the director’s office read, “In view of irresponsible, factually incorrect and misleading statements issued to the media, which is likely to create confusion and anxiety among the teaching community in general and the RRETs converted/being converted into Grade –II teachers in particular, Gulzabeer Ahmed, RRET Upper Primary School Daingpora, hill zone Ukhral, district Ramban, is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect.”

   

“He shall remain attached in the office of Chief EducationOfficer Ramban till further orders,” the order further states.

Pertinently, Gulzabeer Ahmed is the acting statevice-president of All Jammu and Kashmir ReT teachers forum and a senior memberof teachers joint action committee.
