Jammu and Kashmir: On-duty SOG man dies of cardiac arrest in Bhadarwah

A Special Police Officer (SPO) died of cardiac arrest while performing his duties in Bhadarwah area of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday afternoon.

The SPO, who was a member of Special Operation Group (SOG) Bhadarwah, was posted in SOG camp old police station Bhaderwah.

   

He was identified as Jaswant Raj (52), son of Lal Chand, a resident of village Dugga Chinta of additional district Bhadarwah.

“The deceased was on job as gate sentry till 9 am today. At 11.45 am, he complained of chest pain and fell unconscious,” said Munir Khan, SHO Bhadarwah.

He was immediately rushed to Sub District Hospital Bhadarwah by his colleagues, where doctors declared him as brought dead at 12.10pm.

“Legal formalities are being completed after which the body will be taken to his native village with full honours,” said Khan.
