JKNPP district president booked for ‘violating’ DM’s order

The Jammu and Kashmir police Monday booked the district president of Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party, Kishtwar, Rehmat Ali Chowdhary, among others for violating the district magistrate’s order.

Pertinently, as per the order issued by the districtmagistrate on March 30, 2019, all private vehicles were asked to refrain fromentering into the premises of Chowgan ground.

   

Reports said that the chairman of JKNPP, Harsh Dev Singh,visited in Kishtwar on Sunday and held a rally at Parade Ground, Kishtwar.”During the rally, a vehicle, JK02BV 7324, entered into the ground despite theban imposed by the district magistrate,” a police officer said.

He added, “Taking note of the violation, an FIR wasregistered and an investigation has been started.”

On being contacted, the Kishtwar president of JKNPP, said,”I have no knowledge about the vehicle that entered into the Parade Groundduring the rally.”

Pertinently, as per the ministry of road transport andhighways website, the vehicle is registered under the name of Balwant SinghMankotia, state president of the JKNPP.
