A man was killed while two others sustained serious injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and rolled down the hill, here in Dunnadi area of Doda.
The police said, “An Alto, JK06 4842, was reportedly enroute to Doda from Gandoh on the Thathri-Kilhotran road. When the vehiclereached Dunaddi, the driver lost control while negotiating a sharp curve andthe vehicle skidded off the road and fell on a mud house near the river bank.”
Police and locals rushed to the spot and evacuated thepassengers from the badly damaged vehicle. The injured were shifted them toTrauma Hospital, Thathri, where doctors pronounced one of them as brought dead.Two others are undergoing treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Latief, while theRozia Bano and Zohra Begum sustained injuries in the accident.
Police have registered a case.
