Militant hideout busted: Police

The Jammu and Kashmir police Thursday claimed to have busted a militant hideout and recovered arms and ammunition from Marwah village in Kishtwar district.

Senior superintendent of police, Kishtwar, said, “On aspecific information, teams of police and army’s 17 RR battalion launched acordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in Marwah village. During search, a militanthideout was busted and a huge consignment of arms and ammunition, including7.62 mm heckler and koch rifle, which is the standard weapon of Pakistan army,87 rounds, 5 AK rounds, an AK magazine, a grenade and a pouch.”

   

An FIR has been registered and police are investigating thecase further.
