Jammu Police issues statement to dispel 'misinformation' regarding death of person in custody

The Jammu and Kashmir police Thursday claimed to have recovered the body of one boy, while searching for two brothers who went missing on March 27 from their native village Chatroo in Kishtwar district.

Deputy superintendent of police, Kishtwar, Adil Rishu, told Greater Kashmir: “In order to trace the missing brothers, Jammu and Kashmir police, accompanied by SOG and army, searched the upper reaches of village Basha of Mughalmaidan.

   

On Thursday, the team recovered 12-year-old Faizan Ahmed’s shoe. Pertinently, his body was found on Wednesday from the upper reaches of Kuchhal.”

He further said, “The shoe was recovered one kilometer awayfrom the place his body was found.”

“From the postmortem examination, it is clear that Faizan did not sustain any kind of physical injury,” he said, adding, “The search for Faizan’s brother is still going on.”

Pertinently, two brothers, Faizan Ahmad and 13-year-old Mohammed Ramzan went missing on March 27, following which their father lodged a missing complaint at Chatroo police station.
