Several passengers had a narrow escape on Sunday after their vehicles came under shooting stones near Pantiyal in Banihal on Srinagar-Jammu highway.
Reports said that landslides and shooting stoned were triggered by heavy rains at Pantiyal in Banihal area of Ramban district.
They said that two vehicles – one heading to Jammu and another carrying passengers to Banihal – were trapped in the mudslide after being hit by stones.
All the passengers of the vehicles escaped unhurt.
The traffic was restored after an hour on the highway, an official said.
