Police-public interaction meet held at Ramban

As statement issued here said SSP, Randeep Kumar, ASP, Arun Gupta and several officers of police department, prominent citizens of the district and representatives of PRIs attended the meeting.

With an aim to boost the police-public relations in the district, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Kistwar- Doda- Ramban Range, Nisar Ahmed convened a Police Public interaction meeting at Dak Bungalow Ramban on Friday.

 

As statement issued here said SSP, Randeep Kumar, ASP, Arun Gupta and several officers of police department, prominent citizens of the district and representatives of PRIs attended the meeting. 

 

Responding to problems and demands being raised by the citizens and representatives of PRIs, the DIG assured the people of early redressel of their genuine demands related to police department and said that other demands will be conveyed to authorities of concerned departments.  

 

The DIG appreciated the locals for thriving peace and brother-hood in district. He, as per the statement, directed the all SHOs to setup a peace committee in their respective areas. Responding to demands of special police recruitment drive in the district, DIG assured that the matter will be take-up with the higher authorities.

 

Speaking on the occasion SSP Ramban appraised the DIG about demands and problems being faced by the public of the district which includes shortage of doctors and other Paramedical staff in hospitals of the district apart from very bad condition of National Highway and other roads of the district.

 

He also highlighted the locals’ demand for engagement of local youths in ongoing different national projects in the district.

 

Earlier senior citizens of Ramban welcomed the newly posted DIG and the SSP in district and assured full cooperation to police department.
