The poor service of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) continues to irk subscribers in Ramban, with people resenting frequent breakdown of connectivity in the area.
As per reports, the subscribers claimed that service in the town remained down since past two days, thus putting users in dismay.
"The poor connectivity of the BSNL continues to trouble people of this area, as since past two days the service in the area is down, while as concerned officials claim it to be technical fault from head office," lamented a subscribers from Ramban.
He added that even after repetitive attempts no contact could be made with dear ones, thus people remain deprived of the facility to which they pay. BSNL consumers informed Greater Kashmir that since last two days BSNL landline and mobile phones are out of service, due to which they were unable to communicate with their families and friends.
BSNL service has virtually collapsed in this telecom Sub-Division and many towers of the company have been defunct.
Talking to Greater Kashmir, SDTO BSNL Batote said that during restoration and widening of the National Highway, some cables of the Optical Fiber near Udhampur got damaged, due to which service is affected. "A team of technical experts is on job and till evening it will be restored," assured SDTO.
