Protests in Bhaderwah against vested interests for giving communal color to Kathua minor rape and murder case

Protests were held in Bhaderwah after Friday prayers against vested interests for giving communal colour to the Kathua minor rape and murder case.

Reports said soon after culmination of congregational Friday prayers large number of people gathered outside Markazi Jamia Masjid Bhadarwah and held a demonstration against the government.

The protestors accused the state government of surrendering before Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) over rape and murder of a minor nomad girl.

The call for protests was given by socio religious organization Anjuman-e-Islamia.

“It’s really unfortunate and suicidal for democracy that a rape accused of a minor girl is openly being supported and protected by not only RSS, but also by the PDP led coalition government. It seems that CM has completely surrendered before RSS for lust of power, “said Pervaiz Ahmed Sheikh who is president of Anjuman-e-Islamia Bhadarwah.

The protestors also expressed solidarity with Rohingyas and the people killed in Syria.

They also accussed  Bhaderwah Police of not solving Anjli Devi murder case under RSS pressure, and also demanded enquiry into the army firing incident in Shopian’s Pahnoo village
