Searches launched in Kishtwar: Police

The security forces today launched a search operation after suspected movement of militants was reported from the main town Kishtwar.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar, Shakti Kumar Pathak, told Greater Kashmir that movement of few suspected militants was “reported” today at evening hours due to which all checking points were closed.

“The search operation was launched by Police, SOG and Army across the town in which maximum public and private vehicles were stopped at all checking points in order to check them properly”, he said.

According  to the details available with GK, the search operation continued for couple of hours but nothing could be found.
