Sheikh Nasir listens to people’s grievances in Inderwal

People’s Democratic Party Kishtwar district President, Sheikh Nasir Hussain Wednesday visited far-flung Horna Drubeel area of Inderwal constituency and interacted with the people, listening to their grievances.

During the interaction, the people raised several demandsand talked about the issues they face, which included improvement in roads,better drinking water and power supply. It was also informed by the local jobcard holders that they have not been paid their wages for the last couple ofyears, for various developmental projects they executed under MGNREGA.

   

The locals alleged, “The only health centre in the area liesclosed since the past several months.”

The PDP leader listened to the grievances patiently andsaid, “PDP under the dynamic leadership Mehbooba Mufti is committed to provide better basic services to thepeople of far-flung areas, with the prime focus on education and healthcare.”

He assured the people that their genuine demands would bebrought into the notice of concerned authorities for early redressal. SheikhNasir also spoke to the Executive Engineer, PMGSY, Jughal Kishore, ChiefMedical Officer, Dr Abdul Majeed, and Zonal Education Officer, Mir Ali, andhighlighted the problems concerning the people.

During the meeting at panchayat Drubeel, several peoplejoined PDP. Among those who joined hands with Sheikh Nasir include Ghulam NabiKumhar, Ghulam Haider Ganie,  GhulamHaider Malik, Choudhary Abdul Gani, Abdul Rehman Chapoo, Mushtaq Ahmad Rather,Ghulam Hussain Sheikh, Mushtaq Ahmad Qazi, Masood Ahmad Chapoo, Bashir AhmadKumhar, Bashir Ahmad Chapoo, Ghulam Ahmad Chapoo, Mohammad Aslam Qazi andMohammad Abass Chapoo .

Sheikh Nasir welcomed the new entrants into the party foldand expressed hope that with their joining would strengthen the party. He askedthem to spread the party’s message to every nook and corner.
