Chakka, Trehyal residents call on ADDC Ramban

A deputation, comprising of the residents of Chakka and Trehyal villages of Rajgarh tehsil, called on additional district development commissioner, Ramban, Nawab Din, on Thursday, to seek his intervention into the problems of low voltage and snapping of power due to “faulty transmission system” in the area.

In a written complaint, addressed to the district development commissioner, the residents have alleged, “Due to faulty transmission system, Chakka village is facing problems of low voltage as the installed sub stationed transformer, possessing 63 kilowatt capacity, is unable to cater to the increased load.”

They have stated that the substation transformer was installed around ten years ago, ever since, the village has spread and the number of households has also increased.

Briefing the ADDC, the deputation said that the LT transmission conductors have been tied to trees, without any insulator, posing a constant danger. They said, “The village is being ignred by the power development department on one pretext or the other.”

After hearing the deputation patiently, the ADDC directed the executive engineer, PDD maintenance and rural electrification electric division Batote, to look into the matter and resolve the problem at an earliest.
