After remaining closed for few hours due to landslides, traffic on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway was restored on Monday afternoon.
Official said that the National Highway Authority after clearing slide at Cafeteria morh Ramban allowed the movement of stranded vehicles at 12 noon.
Hundreds of vehicles were allowed to move towards Kashmir. The landslide at Cafeteria morh ahead of Ramban town caused frequent traffic disruption for several hours on Monday morning and afternoon. However, the traffic movement was restored in the evening. Massive traffic jam was witnessed on highway at Chanderkote Peera Karool till afternoon and Ramsu- Banihal sector till late this evening. The highway got closed after landslide at Cafeteria morh ahead of Ramban town and shooting stones at Battery Chasma on early Monday morning.
