A young woman was killed while her two children sustained injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in plunged into a ravine, here in Chanderkote on Sunday.
The police said, “A Tata magic auto, JK19 2566, rolled downfrom Jammu Srinagar highway and rolled down around 50 feet into Kunfer Nullahon early Sunday morning. As a result, the woman died and her two childrensuffered injuries.”
The deceased has been identified as Vena Devi, wife of lateYashpaul Sigh and a resident Sarthi village, Chanderkote. Her children, identifiedas Shilpa Devi and Sheshpaul, were shifted to district hospital Ramban, wherethey are undergoing treatment.
Police have registered a case against the driver for “deathdue to negligence”.
“Further investigations are going on,” the police said.
