Problems at BGS University
I am one of the parents of a student of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri. The authorities at the University have started few new courses like MSc at their campus. During interaction with students I found that they are facing a lot of problems at the university. Even students who have paid a hefty amount as fee are suffering. The university lacks faculty and teachers are not usually available. There is no safe drinking water. Books related to their new courses are not available in the library.
Students are not complaining to concerned authorities due to fear. Now I request the authorities to please look into the matter so that their concerns may be addressed immediately.

We the residents of Bhan Kulgam have a Water supply scheme which supplies water as per our needs but the problem is that the water quality is very bad. Sometimes even insects are found in the tap water. So it is requested to the concerned officials of PHE Kulgam through this esteemed newspaper that kindly look into the matter and redress our problem as soon as possible.
Driving test parameters
I drive my vehicle throughout India. Recently i went to RTO office Kulgam for a driving test, but i failed at the last pillar. The distance was so short that i feel no gem in this world can qualify it. After all, nobody among the fifty candidates qualified the driving test, I request IG traffic to please notify all the parameters of test – actual length between poles, can a driver take any chance of moving his vehicle forward, and how many times, and what is time duration of test. Please issue guidelines in newspaper and the same must be written in learning forms, and pasted at information boards of concerned offices.
We the unregularised ReT teachers of zone Devsar district Kulgam have been left high and dry as our meager remuneration of Rs 3000 per ReT teacher is withheld for the last five months. Due to this situation we couldn’t even properly celebrate Eid-ul-fitr with our family members. Therefore the heads of concerned department are humbly requested to release our salaries and the arrears of the year 2013 at earliest. Otherwise we have no other option except to come out on roads to seek the remuneration for our services.
We the residents of village Devbugh zone Kunzer tehsil Tangmarg residing just half a kilometer away from main chowk Kunzer are fed up with the kind of network provided by the cellular company airtel. Neither can we browse internet nor can we make a call to our near and dear ones. Our cell numbers often remain not-reachable for hours. This being our plight, i wonder what would be the condition of those who reside in far away villages. The concerned authorities are requested to kindly intervene and solve our problem.
This article refers to the bridge covering the catchment area of Qasbayar to Pakherpora through the Nallah Romush. The work had been started five years ago but till date the bridge is incomplete due to some departmental faults. We the locals of Qasbayar and Agler Kandi request the concerned department for immediate completion of the respective bridge, so that we can avail the facility of shortest way to district Pulwama.
On behalf of people of
The road between Tengpora bypass and Batmaloo Chowk has no streetlights which puts the people in the path of danger during evenings. Just to remind the authorities, it is the road which serves to converge the traffic flowing from National Highway into the Srinagar city. This road looms in darkness, increasing susceptibility to accidents as well as crime. There is also roar of trucks at night around residential areas which sounds threatening to the inhabitants. It depicts a picture of negligence of concerned authorities. Despite repeated requests by the public to install street lights, there is no government response. Is the government waiting for any unfortunate incident to happen and only then would they wake up?

Overloading is a serious problem especially in Kunzer Tangmarg and its adjoining areas. This not only puts the life of a traveler at risk but also results in the damage of roads and pavements. Here the men in blue are not seen anywhere because they don’t feel it necessary to control this overloading, otherwise the problem would have been solved earlier. The transport authority should take serious action to control this menace and take stringent action against the drivers who resort to overloading before any dreadful accident happens.

Issue final list
We had applied for the post of Assistant Store Keeper cum Clerk in CAPD through Service Selection Board in November 2012. Later they conducted examination in September 2013. In January 2014 they conducted personal interview of the shortlisted candidates but till date the final selection list of the candidates has not been issued.
This is a humble request to the Chairperson of JKSSRB to issue the final selection list of the candidates as soon as possible.
No electricity, no signal
We the users of BSNL suffer from a recurrent problem. Once the electricity is off, the signal vanishes from our cell phones and never comes back till the electricity returns. The signal is totally dependent on electricity. The concerned authority should look into the matter as early as possible so that we can get rid of this problem.
The seniority lists of masters and teachers as incharge lecturers in english, environment science and computer sciences have not been updated till date. The concerned directorate officials and authorities are requested to kindly update the lists without any further delay. The English subject list in particular has not been updated since a long time. By updating the lists, the demand of concerned masters and teachers can be satisfied up to a large extent.
Shortage of water and electricity
People of Gulshan Mohallah, Badamwari Hawal are suffering from scarcity of water supply and electricity. Although during this hot summer, water is desperately needed but we are facing a huge shortage. Hope the concerned department will look into the matter as soon as possible.
Since last few weeks, a gang of Burglars is on prowl in the Rose Enclave Wanabal area of Rawalpora, Srinagar. They have successfully managed to break into the houses of many residents and even managed to flee with some moveable property from the local Masjid. A complaint in this regard has been filed with Sadder Police. We request the concerned authorities to increase vigil in this area and take necessary action expeditiously.
Rose Enclave, Wanabal,
Department of Education published the tentative promotion list of PG masters and teachers in Urdu subject on June, 4, 2014 in daily Greater Kashmir and asked the aspirants to file objections within 07 days. Since more than two months have passed but the department has not published the final promotion list for the elevation of masters and teachers to +2 lecturers in Urdu subject. Any more delay in the issuance of final promotion list is likely to affect our career. We appeal the concerned authorities to issue the final list without any more delay.
Thousands of highly qualified youth have been engaged as PRERAKS under a centrally sponsored scheme SBM of the department of school education purely on merit basis since 2010. But there is no clear cut and well defined job policy for these candidates (Preraks). This type of government policy has created a sort of confusion among the youth engaged under this scheme.
Now we hope that our honorable Deputy CM/Education Minister will look into our grievances regarding assurance of job security at this juncture by a nod of pen.
The life of residents of Firdous colony Buchpora has turned miserable due to acute shortage of drinking water in this summer. Even though we live close to 10 MGD capacity ‘Rangil’ water treatment plant and the pipeline supplying water to entire Srinagar city passes adjacent to this area. But we are not getting any benefit from it. People of our area do not get sufficient water to drink and usually stay up during night to collect drops of water for daily use. We have repeatedly requested the concerned officials for providing proper water supply to our colony but they do not pay heed to our problems. We hope that the concerned authorities will take necessary action in this regard and put an end to our sufferings.
