Security forces searched orchards in Heff Shirmal village of Shopian district on Saturday morning after receiving inputs about the presence of militant hideouts there, a police official said.
The search operation, conducted by Army, CRPF and Police,was called off after a few hours as no hideout was found in the area.
During the past few months, the security forces bustedcave-like hiding places in orchards of Shopian and neighbouring Pulwamadistricts. Several gunfights between militants and the forces also took placein the farms.
