Two army soldiers were wounded after a vehicle they were travelling in was targeted by militants in Khudwani area of southern Kulgam district on Wednesday, police said.
A senior police officer said militants fired upon a vehiclecarrying soldiers of army’s intelligence wing at Khudwani, leaving two of theminjured.
“The injured soldiers were evacuated to a hospital, wheretheir condition is stable,” he said.
The area was immediately cordoned off and searches werelaunched to nab the attackers, the officer said.
