22 COVID deaths in J&K

A 20 year old was among the 22 fresly reported COVID19 deaths that took place in J&K in the 24 hours between Sunday and Monday evening.

While 13 deaths took place in Kashmir division today, 9 deaths were reported from Jammu division

   

In Kashmir, a 20 year old female admitted at SKIMS Soura for treatment of poisoning died today. She had tested positive on 06 September, the day she was admitted to the hospital, a doctor working at the hospital said. He said the patient was suffering from bilateral pneumonia due to COVID19 and passed way today. She was a resident of Bandipora district. “She had no underlying disease,” the doctor said.

The doctor said the patients are tested routinely for COVID19 while they get admitted for treatment of various conditions.

A 26 year old male from Ratnipora Pulwama also died today at SKIMS Soura. The patient was admitted as a case of brain hemorrhage on 11 September.

Other deaths that took place at SKIMS Soura include a 70 year old female from Tangmarg Baramulla, a 70 year old from Baramulla town, an 80 year old female from Larson Ganderbal,  a 70 year old male from Lal Bazar Srinagar and a 60 year old female from Looswani, Pulwama.

At SMHS Hospital COVID19 casualties include a 70 year old woman from Hyhama Kupwara, an 80 year old male from Beerwah Budgam, a 75 year old male from Chadoora Budgam and another 75 year old male from Magam Budgam.

A 75 year old female from Nowgam Kupwara passed away at CHC Kupwara today, a day after she had tested positive.

With these deaths, the fatalities tally attributed to COVID19 in Kashmir division reached 740.

In Jammu division, the tally stood at 160 on Monday, as per official figures.
