Governor’s Advisor Farooq Ahmad Khan on Sunday visited Deputy Inspector General of Jammu and Kashmir Police Amit Kumar at AIIMS in New Delhi to inquire about his health condition.
An official said that Khan spent some time with the injuredpolice officer and wished him speedyrecovery.
Khan, a 1994-batchIPS officer, was appointed as the fifth Advisor of Jammu and Kashmir GovernorSatya Pal Malik on Saturday.
It may be recalled that DIG Amit Kumar had received gunshotwound in the abdomen on 18 February this year in an encounter with militants inPinglan area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. He was airlifted to the AllIndia Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for specialised treatment.
