Amit Shah has gone senile: G A Mir

The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), president and Congress candidate from Anantnag Parliamentary constituency Ghulam Ahmed Mir on Saturday took a jibe at Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah saying, “he (Shah) has gone senile.”       

Addressing an election rally at Nussu Bedragund here insouth Kashmir, Mir said, “The BJP chief has gone senile. He has sensed defeatof the saffron party in the present elections. Shah is desperate and is tryinghard to exploit people over Article 370. No one can abrogate the Article 370 asthe special status granted to J&K under Constitution of India ispermanent.”

   

Mir said that the present elections were a direct fightbetween communal and secular forces, the victory of secular forces amounts tosafeguarding the Articles 370 and 35A which are in great danger due to the”betrayal by power-hungry PDP.”

“Politics based on deceit and falsehood was the main sourcebehind the loses caused to life and property and bloodshed. Even the effortswere being made to abrogate special status granted to the state by the BJP andtheir so called bakhts, this all happened when PDP surrendered its core agendafor the sake of grabbing power,” Mir added. 

He said that the Congress Party respects the aspirations ofthe people and would do everything to ensure that people of Jammu, Kashmir andLadakh do not feel isolated in any way.

He told the people that the coming two phases of presentelections in south Kashmir would be litmus test for them. “It is the power ofyour vote which can keep communal forces at bay. For that matter people shouldvote for the Congress party to send a strong voice to the Parliament from Jammuand Kashmir to represent them genuinely.”

Others who addressed the gathering included senior party leader former  MLA Muhammad Amin Bhat, Farooq Andrabi, Surinder Singh Channi, Vinod Koul and  Farooq Ahmad Bhat.
