Bihar man arrested for 'links with Kashmir militants'

Man arrested from Mathura a bonafide resident of Jammu and Kashmir: UP Police

J&K Police with the assistance of Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) Patna has arrested a person from Bihar for his alleged links with militants.

The arrested person has been identified as Javaid Alam Ansari, son of Mahfooz Alam Ansari, resident of Deobahuara, Chapra, Bihar.

Inspector General of Police Jammu, Mukesh Singh, told the Greater Kashmir that: “Javaid has been arrested in connection with arms supply to LeM commander Hidayatullah Malik.”

The arrested Bihar resident has been brought to Jammu for further questioning

Hidayatullah Malik of Shopian was arrested in Jammu recently.

A woman who had alleged links with Malik was also detained for questioning from the Old City of Jammu, according to the police.
