Cabinet committee approves IAS officers’ appointments

The government of India’s appointments committee of thecabinet (ACC) Sunday approved several appointments of the Indian administrativeservice (IAS) officers of various cadres and batches.

According to an order issued by ACC secretariat at theministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions, department of personneland training, the following appointments were approved:

   

Braj Raj Sharma, IAS, special secretary, department of bordermanagement has been appointed as secretary, department of border management,ministry of home affairs; RuolkhumlienBuhril, IAS, secretary, inter-statecouncil secretariat, MHA, has been appointed as OSD, department of landresources, ministry of rural development. The officer will take over assecretary, department of land resources with effect from April 1, 2019, uponsuperannuation of Anant Kumar Singh;

Sanjeev Ranjan, chairman, National Highways Authority ofIndia (NHAI), ministry of road transport and highways, has been appointed asOSD, ministry of road transport and highways. The officer will take over assecretary, ministry of road transport and highways with effect from April 1,2019, upon superannuation of Yudhvir Singh Malik on 31.03.2019;

RabindraPanwar, special secretary and financial advisor,MHA, has been appointed as OSD, ministry of women and child development. Theofficer will take over as secretary, ministry of women and child developmentwith effect from April 1, 2019, upon superannuation of Rakesh Srivastava;Bhupendra Singh, chairman, national authority for chemical weapons convention(NACWC), cabinet secretariat, has been appointed as special secretary andfinancial advisor, ministry of home affairs vice RabindraPanwar; P Venkata RameshBabu, chairman and managing director, rural electrification corporationlimited, ministry of power, has been appointed as director general, NationalArchives of India, ministry of culture;

YaduvendraMathur, additional secretary, NITI Aayog, has been appointed as special secretary, NITI Aayog, by temporarily upgrading the post; RajniSekhriSibal, additional secretary, ministry of home affairs, has been appointed as secretary, department of fisheries, ministry of agriculture and farmers welfare; Rakesh Kumar Vats, additional secretary and financial advisor, ministry of health and family welfare, has been appointed as secretary general, Medical Council of India; NagendraNath Sinha, managing director, National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), ministry of road transport and highways, has been appointed as chairman, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), ministry of road transport and highways in the rank and pay of additional secretary.

The officer will continue to hold the additional charge of the post of managing director, NHIDCL; Dharmendra S Gangwar, additional secretary and financial advisor, ministry of culture, has been appointed as additional secretary and financial advisor, ministry of health and family welfare.
