Chemist, elderly man among suspected patients in Anantnag

The Government Medical College Hospital Anantnag has taken samples of two patients with no travel or contact history for COVID19 testing.

One among them, a doctor said, is an elderly person andanother a chemist.

   

“These two have neither any travel history nor have come incontact with any positive case,” he said.

The doctor said the elderly person who is a pneumoniapatient has been shifted from isolation facility to the ICU of the hospital.The chemist with symptoms of flu has been kept in quarantine facility of thehospital.

“Their reports are expected in a couple of days,” the doctorsaid.

So far, the hospital has sent 19 samples for investigation,according to Medical Superintendent Dr. Majeed Mehrab.

“The reports of 11 patients are negative, while eight areawaited,” he said.
