Ladakh union territory on Friday reported 36 more positive cases of COVID-19. With this, the total number of positive cases in the UT has crossed 1,000-mark.
As per media bulletin by the Directorate of Health Services, Ladakh, 36 persons tested positive today. Out of these, 33 were from Leh district and 3 from Kargil.
“With three more COVID-19 deaths— 2 from Leh and 1 from Kargil—, the total number of such deaths in the UT has gone up to 54 including 23 in Leh and 31 in Kargil,” officials said.
The bulletin said that 49 patients were discharged after their samples returned negative. Of them, 28 were discharged by CMO Leh and 21 by CMO Kargil.
With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT has gone to 1022 including 593 in Leh and 429 in Kargil district.
