Curfew relaxed in Bhaderwah for 1 hour

The district administration here relaxed curfew for one hour in phased-manner on the fourth-day even as the internet services remained suspended in Bhaderwah Valley.

District Magistrate, Doda, Dr. SagarDattarayDoifode orderedrelaxation in the curfew from 4 PM to 5 PM in TakiaChowk, Sadar Bazar, MasjidMohallah, QillaMohalla, Pasri, Green Colony, Chakka and Chinote, and from 5 PMto 6 PM in Seri Bazar, Ganpat Market, Jai Road, Chobia Link Road, Gatha andUdrana.

   

During the relaxation no untoward incident was reported fromany part of the town or its peripheral areas.

TehsildarBhadarwah, Zeeshan Tahir said that restrictionsunder section 144 CrPC, will remain in force in order to maintain law and orderin the area.

“The overall law and order situation will be reviewed by thehigher authorities and then only a decision to further relax or completely liftthe curfew, and restore the internet services will be taken,” the Tehsildaradded.

During the relaxation, shops and business establishmentsremained opened. A large number of people were seen purchasing goods andedibles including the vegetables and meat.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Anwar Banday, SDM Thathri, who is theInquiry Officer of the Magisterial probe ordered by the districtadministration, visited the crime scene and met some locals seeking theircooperation for speedy and fair probe.

“Any information or input from any quarter is welcome. Ihope people will cooperate and give valuable inputs which will be of great helpto reach to the logical conclusion,” he said, assuring that the identity of theindividuals giving inputs will not be disclosed.
