Wife of late Peer Hussam-u-Din, a veteran socio-political leader passed away today after a brief illness at her Rawalpora residence here. The deceased was mother of noted radiologist Dr Sajad Peerzada.
The last rites of the deceased were performed at her native place Takia Damhaal, Kokernag, Anantnag and her ‘Chaharum’ will be observed on 10 March, Wednesday, at Takia Damhaal, Anantnag, family sources said.
Meanwhile, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G A Mir has condoled the demise and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family. In his condolences message, Mir prayed for rest to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family. Mir termed the deceased as a very humble and pious lady and shared the grief with the bereaved family.
Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari in a condolence message here, expressed heartfelt condolences with Dr Sajad in this hour of grief and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. He also prayed for the courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. Meanwhile, the leadership of Apni Party has also mourned the demise of Dr Sajad’s mother and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family, a statement here said.
